Raine makes everything better.

65% of Filipino families know or have relatives living abroad. That’s a lot of Filipinos scattered all over the world if you think about it.

And more are leaving still.

Filipinos abroad miss the country terribly. They keep telling that they’re ‘Brown and Proud’ or something to that effect.

That’s nice to hear.

Funny how you’re blessed with national pride only when you’re thousands of miles away from this place, while everyone else I know living here would take the first plane out if they had the chance.

I wonder… Is the future here that grim? Are we strong enough to sacrifice everything we have here? Is starting over worth leaving your heritage behind?

For that matter… how does one start over?

Where do i belong in the world? Will I ever return home.
